Different categories of LGV license
Category C+E license: Now there is a variety of licenses that are part of the LGV license category. This is the highest class of the LGV license. The people who are having the category C+E license can only drive the vehicles that come under the category of LGV C+E license. Also, with this license type, you can drive the heaviest and the rigid vehicle on road, especially those used for construction purposes as they are large and rigid in size and also, they carry a larger weight as compared to other vehicles. It is generally for vehicles with a maximum authorized mass of 7.5 tons (7500 kg) and can go for the detachable trailer of 750 Kgs.
Category C license: It is the type of license that is mostly taken up by the LGV drivers in various parts. It helps drivers in qualifying to drive heavy vehicles like tipper trucks, Heavy boxes trucks, bin lorries, articulated lorries, etc.
Category C1+E license: It is referred to as the lower-class license which enables you to drive the vehicles which can carry the weight from 3.5 tons (3500 kg) to 7.5 tons (7500kg) with the extra of the trailer that is up to 750 kg (0.75 tons) or even more. This type of license includes a large cargo van with a utility truck or the small tipper truck that is built on a standard truck chassis.
Category C1 license: This is termed as one of the lowest LGV license in comparison to other LGV license. These are generally reserved for the professional LGV drivers. Who generally operate the smaller vans that are the transit vans and the small box trucks. The people who are carrying the category Cq license cannot attach a trailer to their vehicle because this is the lowest category LGV license.
Needs for the LGV license
To get the LGV license you need to first select the category of LGV license. That is which category you wish to opt for. Now every person has different needs in terms of driving.
